Trucking Group Urges DOT to Drop Hours Proposal

The American Trucking Association is pressuring the Department of Transportation to drop any changes in the hours that truck drivers are allowed to work.........

I hope the Government does not fall prey to this ridiculous proposal........The ATA represents industry and could care less about the drivers..........

I have said this all along and will continue to say this........who ever came up with the current hours of service rules........has never driven a big rig.........over long distances, in congested traffic and in all types of weather.........

The current hours of service are too long........they should be scaled  back and safety on our roadways demands it...........

Citizens.......we demand safety......on the interstates...............

NATO’s Libya campaign drags on

Why are we participating in this mess.........Citizens, we have President Obama......who bad-mouthed the previous administration to get elected......for wars it should not have gotten involved in......This is irony.........

We should have never gotten involved in the Libyan crises........Qaddafi has been no threat to us for decades...........But......the President some how thinks he is????

This is just plain ridiculous......and a grave example of the pathetic leadership in Washington........Mr. President....please explain to me your rationale for our involvement in this chaos..........

Sheriff Dennis Proffitt and public service.........

Dennis Proffitt is quick to point out his years as a public servant........"I was this.....and I was that" for so many years.......But, Citizens....how about the Proffitt's service to the United States of America........without the Federal Government there would be no state or local government.........

Until Dennis Proffitt releases his United States Selective Service Classifications to the citizens of Chesterfield County I have my doubts about his claims to fame........

Where was Proffitt when the Vietnam War was at a turning point?.......over 500,000 American men and women were serving in Vietnam and more than 400 a week were perishing in this Cold War struggle............

Three letters have been sent to Dennis Proffitt......requesting permission to access his draft card.........none have been answered...........

Consequently.........until Proffitt will step up to the plate and let the citizens view his classifications and draft card........I cast serious doubts..................

Mullen sees risk in Obama’s Afghanistan plan

Yes, Citizens, I see the risks as well.......We should not seek a hasty retreat from Afghanistan......It may look good to Obama.......who seeks re-election.....But, in reality the enemy will just wait us out..............

This is a repeat of Vietnam........The NVA just waited for the Americans to withdraw and then launched their final assault on South Vietnam.........

We cannot and must not walk away from Afghanistan........we have too much at stake.......this is a struggle where good must prevail over evil...........

Sheriff Proffitt a bully and a coward?

I can assure you, citizens....that after working with juvenile delinquents for over 8 years.......one thing is for certain.....A coward and a bully go hand in hand........

Is Chesterfield County Sheriff Dennis Proffitt a bully and a coward?......I do not know........but, the Sheriff has refused requests for information that would allow public access to his draft card.........this is disturbing.........When the Vietnam War was at a turning point.......over 500,000 Americans were committed to the struggle.......and over 400 a week were dying in the fight.......where was Dennis Proffitt?

I can personally attest to the fact that Proffitt is a bully........He was once investigating an employee that had committed alleged improprieties.......Proffitt threatened me with my job in such a "child-like" manor that it was utterly ridiculous.  He literally bullied me as if we were on a school playground.

Like I have said, Citizens.....A bully and a coward go hand in hand.......................

Sheriff Dennis Proffitt investigated by the Feds..........

Some time in the last 24 months.......Chesterfield Sheriff Dennis Proffitt was investigated by the Federal Government........Office of the Special Counsel.......for alleged Hatch Act violations.....government corruption......After all, Proffitt was handed the Sheriff's job from his predecessor......Clarence Williams.........when a special election should have been called for.............

This is just another example of underhanded politics........in Chesterfield County......ask the Sheriff for the results of the investigation..........

Virginia Tech announces 9.4 tuition hike

This is ridiculous........a 9.4 percent raises in tuition and fees......when the average worker is getting less than 3 percent in raises.......and many industries and the public sector have gone without raises for years.......

This is criminal.......raising tuition at rates 3 and 4 times what workers are receiving in raises.........this is a fleecing that must stop.......The folks who vote these raises in tuition have got to go!!!!!

Lahood rebukes his own agency after fatal bus crash in Virginia

Transportation Secretary Lahood has rebuked his own agency after the fatal bus crash in Virginia.......this is a sad one for all parties involved.........Citizens, this one makes me think.......who is minding the store........

The driver of the bus was cited and driver fatigue has been the early villain in this tragic accident.........

The "hours of service rules" set forth by the department of transportation are a joke........They were promulgated by a bunch of idiots who have never driven large vehicles on congested roads, in all types of weather.......

Tractor trailer drivers are allowed to work a 14 hour day......this is to include no more than ten hours of actual driving.............this is ridiculous......How can any one in their right mind consider this acceptable.......this is too much on duty time........

It should be reduced by a minimum of two hours on duty time.......to a 12 hour day......driving 10 hours is the max........and 2 hours of on duty time......The current 14 hour rule is a joke.........

The idiots who came up with numbers were just pandering to big business......now it has come back to haunt them............Citizens, we must take control!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
