Sheriff Dennis Proffitt, Donnie Newton and "fear 101"

My sources at the Chesterfield Sheriff's Office have informed me of a recent meeting of the "minds".....Donnie Newton...a colonel I think, was having a meeting with Sergeant's.....concerning shortcomings at the jail........Leadership informed the Sergeant's.....that fear must be invoked as a management tool.......One of the Sargeant's said......."I can not be responsible what what happens when I am not here".....Management went on to say  yes, you can, your employees should be so scared of what you will do to them...they will be afraid to do anything wrong......LOL.....

This is how management leads at the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office.....by fear, bullying and intimidation...Furthermore, there is zero tolerance of disscussion and dissent among the ranks.....Typical leadership of a bunch of neophytes.........Morale is low....a recent employee told me that "no one is scared of management".  Employees are not scared of retribution.....and do as they please....a total breakdown in leadership.........small wonder that there has been a recent rash of firings and demotions.......at the Sheriff's Office...Small wonder the Sheriff has created an office at the jail to better reign in on the shortcomings of management...

we must as taxpayers take control.............................

Chesterfield County Virginia Sheriff's overtime law suit.......

This one is going to cost of citizens...There has been a State of Virginia law that requires overtime pay to public safety folks on the books for over half a decade......Yet, for some strange and unknown reason......Leadership in Chesterfield, County Virginia has chose to ignore such a law............

My sources in County Government have indicated to me......that the County is ready to settle......they will file a claim with their insurance....that covers such errors and omissions........This is going to be a costly one...

My question citizens, when did leadership realize they should have been paying this overtime all along......this thing has festered.......management at the Sheriff's Office should not have been scheduling overtime.......when they realized the County was not going to pay.......this was not prudent........Continuing to run up the "overtime" tab is not good management........Do we blame Sheriff Proffitt.......Citizens, yes we do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We also must place blame for this debacle with Chesterfield county management as well.  This is a shameful waste of taxpayer dollars. Furthermore, it is humiliating to those who work in industries that pay no overtime.

This is how people manage your tax dollars...........wow and OMG!!

McChrystal says it's time to bring back the draft

Retired General Stanley McChrystal says it's time to bring back the draft and I agree.....We have strained our Active duty and Reserve forces to the breaking point over the last ten years.  Many National Guard and Reserve units have endured multiple deployments.

Its time we bring back the draft. This country has a history of men serving when called to protect us. It is only fair that all citizens have a stake in protecting America. Hopefully, if we do go back to the draft, we will not have unfair deferments that let people weasel out of their committments like what happened in Vietnam.

Many a coward shunned their duty to this country during the Vietnam War.

Sheriff Proffitt you need to get a grip..........

My sources at the Sheriff's Office, have informed me of major developments there....I know....Dennis and his unlettered cronies who draw huge salaries will be attacking me...................................

According to my latest information providers.........employees have been demoted, fired and given time in the street for a host of poor judgement...............................

Dennis, are up for the task of leading the Sheriff's Office.........I think not......certainly, not in light of the recent firings, demotions and sanctions that have been placed against your employees...............

Perhaps, your Vietnam War era education has not paid off.................................

Sheriff Proffitt relocating to the Jail

My sources at the Chesterfield County Virginia, Sheriffs Office have indicated to me that the Sheriff is moving his office to the jail.......This is in light of a rash of security violations and firings that has been going on for some time now..........Apparently, employees are not completing security checks, stealing and being insubordinate to superiors.....This smells like a morale problem and leadership problem

This clearly shows that management has a host of incompetent leadership in place. By moving his office to the jail, I guess the Sheriff thinks he will have a better grasp of the situation. Sad, but true.

Citizens, we demand competent leadership at the Sheriff's Office and we are not getting it.......We must take control!!!!

Sheriff Dennis Proffitt and the facts..........

When you pound Sheriff Proffitt and his cronies with the facts.....Do they answer them? Of course not. They flip the script and try to pummel you with whats wrong with you. Do they answer your complaints or concerns.....they do not.

Instead of complying with your requests of concerns and comments, they seek to discredit anyone who dare criticize them. Proffitt forgets that this is America, and consequently a democracy. That citizens have the right to offer unfettered criticizing and as taxpayers they should. But unfortunately, those that do suffer the wrath of Proffitt and his unlettered cronies.

Citizens, as members of this great nation called America.....we have the right to criticize government at any level and for any reason. If those in power can not or will not respond to our inquiries then their time has come and they should be removed from office.

This is not Stalin's Soviet Union and is not Castro's Cuba......this is America and to those in government that are questioned by the citizens for any reason should answer up. Individuals that are in power serve the citizens......this is how this great nation has endured for so long.......

Citizens we must take control of those who seek to undermine the democratic process and liberty.

Chesterfield Sheriff's Overtime lawsuit

Citizens,we are faced with a dilemma, the Sheriff's Office has assigned overtime like there is an unlimited supply of taxpayer dough to cover the tab.  Since the economy has tanked, many in the private sector have gone without raises for years.  Many citizens work in occupations that are exempt from overtime laws.  Why should citizens who don't even receive overtime pay when they work, fund overtime for employees of Chesterfield County?  This is ridiculous and humiliating to the taxpayers...............
